Christmas is starting

We started our Christmas fun in the early afternoon on Christmas Eve. Heidi, Jacob and Cliff came over so that the kids could exchange gifts.
Megan and Alex got some great gifts from Jacob. Megan used her fashion designer all afternoon and Alex had his Harry Potter movies playing on the tv as soon as he could.
Mike and Cliff watching all of the excitement.
Megan and Alex are ready to open. They just can't wait any longer.
Jacob had his open quickly also and I think that he liked them all. He was playing with them so that is always a good sign. :) We had a fun afternoon. It was a great start to a couple of long days.

Outdoor Christmas Lights

The kids helped Mike decorate the yard with some Christmas lights. I guess they were having more fun with the camera but the lights ended up turning out nice.
They are hanging out with Frosty!!!!!
I don't even know what to say. Alex is always doing strange things. :) I guess the snowman attacked him.
The light up Christmas Tree turned out nice as usual. The lights even all worked on it.

Christmas Tree

We went and got our Christmas Tree this weekend. We went down to the u-cut lot that we always go to but we were to cold and couldn't find anything we liked so we went up front and bought an already cut tree. It was so nice, easy and quick.
Here is the finished product after Megan got all done decorating it. Alex wasn't a whole lot of help but he did manage to put the water in the bottom.
We had to make it look like we cut our own so the kids are standing by a tree that we didn't cut down. :)
We had to pay for our tree so we stood in a very long line and it was freezing.
The decorating has begun. The final project turned out perfect!!!!!!

Megan's new hairdo

Megan decided that she wanted to do something different with her hair so we went to Target and found a new color for her. This is what she wanted and it seems to have turned out pretty cute.
This is the before.....
Here is the after. It's a bit darker than it was but she seems to like it so far.
Here's the final look. Hopefully she likes it for awhile. :)

Thanksgiving

We finally have something to blog about. We made it to Thanksgiving. We had a fun and very quiet day today. Not one of our normal Holiday's but we managed to still have a good time. :)
Megan and Alex were suppose to be posing for some pictures so I could make a Christmas card. It didn't work out to well!!!!!
Megan and I waiting for the Turkey to finish cooking.
Alex loves it when I give him hugs. All he does is complain.
Megan, Alex and Mike hooking up the web cam so that we can join the Keyes for dinner.
Here they are. We got to spend the Holiday with them. Just at dinner time also. It's almost like we were all in the same place.
Jim and Marilyn actually came over for dinner in real life. :) We had a great time and got to spend a nice quiet evening relaxing with them.
Kim joined us for dessert. She has a web cam also. How much fun is this? We can all hang out together from different states. :)
Megan, Marilyn, and Jim. They are discussing what everyone wants for Christmas. It will be here in a few short weeks.
Megan, Jim, and Alex after dinner. Everyone had to sit down and take a break. As usual on a Holiday we ate way to much!!!!!
Megan and Mike goofing around after dinner. I think Megan started it. :)

We had a fun night and managed to look through all the sale ads to see if we want to get up early in the morning for shopping. I think we might go after we wake up instead.

Carved Pumpkins

Here are the finished pumpkins. I hope you enjoy!!!!!
Megan sitting by her pumpkin. The light flashes and I took this at the wrong time.
Alex next to his. He has a strange color light in his but it doesn't flash so it was much easier to take.
Here they both are. They loaded up the pumpkins into the trailer tonight so they can put them outside at camp this weekend. I hope everyone enjoys them. I told them they should go trick or treating at camp also but they just laughed at me. I guess it's a good thing I sent a bag of candy with them. :)

Pumpkin Patch

We made a trip down to the pumpkin patch on Saturday so that the kids could get some pumpkins to carve. They were excited to get home and work on them.
It took us forever to park because it was so busy but we finally made it.
Alex was in charge of the wheel barrel. It started to get a bit heavy by the time we were done.
Megan can't decide which one she likes. There are way to many choices.
Now, they are both just being silly. :)
This is everything we ended up with. A wide variety of sizes.
We had a fun time getting pumpkins and they look really good carved. That will be posted soon!!!!!
