Christmas Day 2008

We made it to Christmas Day and it was sure a busy one. We had a great day but it went buy to fast as usual. It is always fun to see everyone and get to spend time with all of our family.
We started the day off with some gifts from Santa.
Santa was nice enough to bring his usual gifts for the kids. Socks and underwear. He is such a smart guy to know how much they need those things every year!!!!! :)
Their stocking are both empty now. It's time to actually get dressed and head downtown to Mike's parents house for even more.
Mike and Alex with Jesse. Megan and Jim.

Alex got this great Bionicle set from Aunt Kim. She couldn't make the trip this year either so we missed her on Christmas morning. We had a lot to get used to with everyone being out of town this year!!!!!
Megan got a cool purse from Kim.
Alex, Marilyn, Jim and Megan.
We ate breakfast with Jim and Marilyn after we opened all of our gifts. It was really good and we were nice and full when we got done.
Megan, Marilyn, and Mike.
Megan and Alex playing with their new presents from Nana and Papa. Megan got an ipod touch and Alex got a Nintendo DS.
We headed back to our house to finish making Christmas dinner. We have all of our family over for dinner every year. It is alot of fun and a good chance for everyone to get together and catch up on things. We ate, drank, talked and played the Wii. It was a really fun night.
Bill and Sandy made it over. We always enjoy their company. They are so much fun to spend time with.
We had a great Christmas this year even though we were missing several very important members of our family. Hopefully we will get a chance to see everyone again soon.

Christmas Eve

We made it to Christmas Eve. The kids were so excited to get to open their gifts. I swear they thought dinner was never going to be over. My Dad and his wife Bonnie came over and brought dinner so I didn't have to do anything. Megan and I were busy making cookies because we hadn't had time before so it all worked out perfect. It was a different Christmas Eve without my sister Stefanie and her family but we made the best of what we had and thought about them all night!!!!!

Megan is showing Alex some love before they hand out the gifts.

They both had huge piles when they got everything separated.
Bonnie got a necklace from the kids. I think she liked it.
My Dad loved his Bears shirt sent to him by Stefanie's family. He wore it all day on Christmas. It fit perfectly!!!!!
I got a Willow Tree statue from the kids. I actually got one from each of the kids and one from Stefanie. I just love them. They look like peaceful little angels. :)
My Dad and Bonnie patiently awaiting their turns to open their gifts.
Mike must have really liked this one. He even showed teeth on the smile.
Alex loved his Nintendo DS games. Good thing that he already new he was getting the Nintendo DS on Christmas otherwise he might have wondered why he kept getting them.
Megan got the cell phone that she has been begging for. We caved and got it for her and she has either been talking on it or texting people ever since she opened it. Good thing we went with the unlimited text plan!!!!!
Mike and Megan after we were all done. We had so much fun and really enjoyed everything that we got. Thank you to everyone for all of the gifts that we received. We really missed the Keyes family. Hopefully they enjoyed their first Christmas at their new house.

Christmas starts early

We started Christmas a few days early this year. We ran out of time so we did Christmas with Heidi, Cliff and Jacob on Tuesday night. We had a gourmet dinner of Papa Murphy's pizza and exchanged some gifts. It was a lot of fun and I think that everyone loved their presents.
Everyone enjoying their pizza.
Megan got the tennis shoes that she had been asking for. She was so excited.
Jacob wanted a globe so we found one for him and I think he really liked it. He carried it around all night.
Alex got a game that he had wanted for the Wii. It took us forever to find it but he was really excited.

I'm playing the game!!!!!

Megan thought we should all join in on Jill's game that she played on her blog and this is what we came up with. You have to go to your pictures folder and go to the 6th folder and then pick the 6th picture and explain what it is.
I think it's funny that this is what I got because I love this picture. Maleah, Rena, and Cameron got to spend the weekend with us while Stefanie and Jeff went to Peoria and Maleah wouldn't leave Mike alone. It was really cute. Every time he would sit down she would crawl up on the chair with him. It was cracking me up all weekend.
Don't they look so cute????? :)

Now that's snow

The snow has definately arrived at our house now. We have about 10 inches so far and it is suppose to keep coming. We will see what happens as the days go on.
Megan came in for a break. They spent the whole morning out sleding with Mike. We have enough hills around our house that they find good places to slide.
Alex needed to catch up on his computer game so he had to take a break to. They were cold when they came in but it didn't take long until they headed back out.
This was the early evening. By tonight you could barely see the bulbs in the light.
The trees and things looked really neat. The pictures don't look as nice as the actual plants did.
Our road is a bit slippery but we are ok once we get to the main road. Luckily we have 4wd so that seems to help when you start to slide off the road.

Storm Warning

Watch out this is a huge snow storm you are about to see. The kids didn't have any school and hardly anyone showed up to work today. The weather was just to bad!!!!!!!
Look at how big those flakes are. The grass is almost covered.
Look at how well the snow has covered the lawn. Good thing it kept coming down.
We barely had enough to make a snowman but the kids managed to find enough for a baby.

Peggy's Weekend

Peggy got to make a quick trip to visit for the weekend. She came to see all of us and her Aunt Ethel before Christmas. It was a fast weekend but we made the most of the time we had and we all had a great time.
Megan loves the fact that she is almost taller than Peggy.
Peggy brought them some early Christmas presents and they were both so excited. Megan go the new jacket that she is wearing and Alex got the skateboard that he has been asking for.
Thanks for the great presents Peggy!!!!!!!
Megan and Alex even decided they should help Peggy with her Christmas cards. I hope they were really some help.
Peggy got to spend some time down with her Aunt Ethel. Ethel is 98 years old and she is living at the nursing home, Linden Grove, downtown Puyallup. This is a really good picture of them!! :)
Megan, Alex, Ethel and I.
We had to say goodbye so quickly. Hopefully we will get to see each other again soon. We always have so much fun.

She put on a good show with all of the girls from her choir class.Megan in the middle of the action.
They are all ready to start the show.

Mike, Megan and Alex. They were all so excited to have me take their picture again.
We had a good time listening to the choirs and the bands at the show. Good job Megan!!!!
