Happy Father's Day!!!!!

We had a really busy but fun day on Sunday for Father's Day. The kids picked what they wanted to do with Mike for the day but they didn't want him to know so it was a surprise.
We ate breakfast before we headed out on our fun filled day.
We stopped at 7-11 for some drinks to take with us and then we headed downtown to the sounder train. He figured out once we got there that we were going to the Mariner's Game.
Mike and Alex on the train. It is so fast and easy to go this way.
Megan and Mike at the game. We got there early enough for the kids to get the free give away hats and to look in the souvenier shop.
Megan and Alex at the game. It started out with the roof open but it closed by the 3rd inning. It never did end up raining but it sure looked like it was going to.
This is the best family photo that we got. Good thing I have long arms.
Alex got a new flag and he was having all sorts of fun waving it around.
Mike and I before we headed home. It was a great game and we won in the bottom of the 9th inning. We had a really fun day and I think that Mike really enjoyed everything the kids had planned.

Last Day of School

It is hard to believe but it is the last day of school already. It seems like this year flew by. Megan is already going to be in 8th grade and Alex has now made it to the 5th grade. Where is the time going?????

Megan is ready to head off to the last day of school. She had a hard day. They got out of classes at 10:30 am.
I had to drive her to the bus stop. She didn't want to take a coat but it was pouring out so I was nice enough to drive her clear to the end of the street.
Alex wasn't to happy about the rain either. I always drive him to the bus though so that wasn't anything new. He had a long day at school though he didn't get out until 11:45.
Alex kind of let me get his picture getting on the bus. It's not the best picture but it's better than the one Megan let me take of her getting on the bus. I guess it's not cool to have your Mom taking your picture at her age. :)

Alex went to the Zoo

Alex got to go to Pt. Defiance Zoo with his class during the last week of school. He had a really good time and I let him take my camera so he got some funny pictures while he was there.

This is the group of kids that he was with.

He was excited that he got to hold this bird.

He took pictures of every single animal that he got to see. He was mad that a few of them wouldn't come out of their cages so he didn't get pictures of them.
This is what he did for the animals that he didn't get to see. He went to the gift shop and put the plastic animals on the ground and took their pictures. Sometimes I wonder where he comes up with these ideas but it was still pretty funny.

Just being silly

I don't know what we were doing today but we went to Target (Our home away from home) and the kids were being silly on the big red balls out in front of the store. They decided that since we spend so much time at the store that they should get some pictures there. Luckily I had the camera in my purse so we were able to document their trip to Target!!!!!! :)
Megan got the whole Target sign behind her. That is really a memorable picture to have.
Alex thought a nice pose on his was a good idea. He was showing off his new shoes I guess.
Maybe we could make this one our Christmas card next year. How we spend our spare time during the year. We go to Target!!!!! I don't know how they both got to be so silly but I was more than happy to stand outside the store and take the pictures. We were cracking up when we were done. :)

Jacobs Birthday

We went to the Pump It Up for Jacob's birthday party on Saturday. It was a lot of fun getting to jump on all the toys and watch the kids. They all had so much fun.
Here are the kids getting the instructions on how to play in the bounce houses without hurting each other. The good news is that Heidi was the only one to get hurt the whole time. :)
Alex really liked flipping off the end of the slides when he came down.
Heidi and Megan had a great time playing dodge ball. I am not sure which one got hit with more balls.
This is the basketball/dodgeball jumper. I think it was suppose to be for basketball but that isn't really what they were all playing in there.
Jacob was excited to have his own big chair for the cake and presents part of the party. He looks so small in that huge chair!!!! We had a great time at the party. Hopefully Jacob enjoyed it as much as we all did.

Busy Week

We had another busy week last week between all of the baseball games and choir concerts. Luckily on Thursday night Alex had a baseball game and Megan had a school choir concert both at the same place. Alex was playing at Firgrove and Megan was at Ballou so I was able to see both.
It is almost Alex's turn to bat. He got a nice hit and eventually got a run.
He also got hit in the lip with the ball. He wasn't to happy about it. I am sure you can tell from that nice look on his face. :) The best part is that it happened before the game even started!!!!!!
This is Alex and Ryan after the game. They played a great game and won.
Here is Megan after they were done singing at the concert. I didn't get any good pictures of the actual concert. My camera doesn't seem to like the dark lunch room that they sing in.
Megan's class did a great job singing and it was our last concert to go to because Megan chose to take the yearbook class next year instead of choir.
