Fair Fun, again.

I took the kids down to the fair last night and here is a shock, we got rained on. :) Megan went down last Wednesday with her friends for the school's fair day so I took Alex down last Wednesday night also but it was so busy that we didn't get to do much. We went back last night to try again and had about as much luck this time. Alex was in a strange mood. I am not sure what is up with this face.
I am really not sure what brought this on.....
Alex got to pick a ride to go on and he picked the sky ride. After we were on it and clear up at the top he decided we were going to die and was very concerned with how much Megan and I weighed. We told him and he decided we were going to be ok because we were under the 450lb. limit. It was pretty funny.
I think that we ate our way through the fair as usual. We finished up with an elephant ear. It was tasty!!!!!!
Megan had the camera again most of the night so she got some good pictures. This is just one of the extreme scream.
We had a fun night at the fair, hopefully if we get to go back again it won't be raining and we can actually enjoy ourselves.

The Fair, again!!!!

Here is my annual funny pictures of the week before the fair opens.
The first days we are there it's like a ghost town. I swear everyone waits until the last minute. It cracks me up as the week goes on how much busier and crabbier everyone gets.
A huge plus this year is the rain. We have had rain almost everyday that we have been there. It rained while we were setting up and it has rained close to everyday since the fair actually started. There are a few more cars starting to show up even though the skies have decided to cry all over us!!!!! Have I ever mentioned how much I hate the rain. Literally can't stand it!!!!
The fair opens tomorrow. The cars are piling in and no one is smart enough to park so that cars can actually get through. I swear everyone down there thinks they are the only ones there. It amazes me how selfish and rude people can be. I guess that's part of what cracks me up every year as I wait for all of the last minute panicked people to arrive.
Good news, everyone seemed to get set up on time for the fair to open on Friday morning.

It's Sunday already

We made it to Sunday already and we ended up having another full day of fun. We decided to go downtown Tacoma and check out everything there.
We parked in the Tacoma Doma parking garage so that we could take the trolly downtown. Isn't that Stefanie funny?
Now it's funny Peggy. They are both a crack up.
Next we went to the glass museum. We just did all of the free stuff outside though. We were too cheap to pay to get in.
Megan and Alex found some stuff to run through.
We took the trolley all the way around Tacoma after the glass museum.
We stopped at the Valley Tavern next. It is fun to go by there now. My Grandparents used to own it so we have some really funny memories of this little tavern.
We headed over to Stadium High School next. Dad taught there for several years and wanted to see it after it was remodeled. We found the brick with his name on it but it's kind of hard to see with his head in the way!!!!!!
Standing outside of the front doors of the school.
We went to the Ram on the waterfront for dinner after we were all done sightseeing.
I really could have lived without the singing but the mud pie was really good.
We walked down to check out the water after we ate.
We went home for a little bit and then headed downtown Puyallup to the Mazatlan to meet up with Craig and Lisa.
We went to another bar to play darts after we lost our parents. I think they were tired so we went without them.
Tami and Mike at the bar.
We had so much fun that Peggy didn't even seem to mind that we woke her up at 2:00 a.m. She never did go back to sleep and neither did we so we just waited awhile and then I had to take her to the airport. That part of the weekend was not fun at all.
We didn't do much but rest and re-coup on Monday and then I had to take Tami and Stefanie to the airport on Tuesday morning. Unfortunately, they won't be back this weekend.
We had such a fun weekend and got to do so many things. I hope everyone enjoyed their stay. I know I sure did.
I am looking forward to the next time we all get together!!!!!

Saturday of our fun filled weekend!!!!!

We started Saturday off down at the Farmer's Market. We walked around, got some snacks and had a great time.
Megan was to lazy to walk.
Peggy and I after she got her fresh Puyallup raspberry's.
Stefanie couldn't get over the size of the hanging baskets so we got a picture underneath one of them.
After we got home everyone went outside to enjoy the weather and play on the quads a bit. Megan gave Stefanie a ride.
Tami rode like a pro. She didn't even run into the house this time.
Peggy and Megan cruising around the yard.
After it got dark it was time to roast some marshmallows.
Dad and Peggy enjoying the warm flames.
Suzy and I. I was in charge of the smore fixings!!!!!
Peggy and Tami. It was such a fun day. We had a great time. What should we do on Sunday? Stay tuned it's coming up.

Surprise....

Stefanie came to visit last Thursday for the long weekend and my birthday. She told me that she was going to Issaquah on Friday to visit some friends but when I got home on Friday night with my Dad and Bonnie I quickly discovered that she had lied to me. Apparantly Mike and Stefanie had been planning a surprise birthday party for me. Good news, I was surprised!!!!!
This is me walking through the door. I am very confused.
This is after I finally noticed that Peggy and Tami were standing in my kitchen. I guess everyone was in on the lie!!!!!!!!! What a perfect birthday gift.
Best birthday present. Tami, Stefanie, and Peggy. This made me realize we were going to have one fun weekend!!!!!
After I figured out what was going on I realized there were people everywhere. There were over 60 people there. They were inside and out. Lucky for the little liars we had perfect weather for the evening!!!!!
These are just a few pictures of some of the people that came. There were so many and I wasn't quick enough to figure out to find my camera.
I even got a beautiful black "over the hill" birthday cake and a really nice pink tiara.
Stephanie and Michael made the trip down. It was so much fun to see them.
Some of my very favorite cousins made it. Phil, Brianne, Sandy, and Bill.
Stacy, Stefanie, Stacy and Stephanie. It is always so great to see them.
Mike and Tami.
Greg, Missy, Me, and Mike. They are so much fun too.
Happy cousins, Bill and Peggy.
I got a lot of funny presents also. These were some great earrings and a necklace from Peggy.
Megan and Olivia watching the present opening.
It was such a fun night. Thank you to everyone for the great surprise weekend.

Alex finally gets to go to school!!!!!

Alex had a few set backs on getting to start school. He actually didn't get to go for the first day until Tuesday after school had started. He got up on Thursday to go to school and his face was so swollen he could hardly open his eyes. I took him to the doctor and he wasn't allowed to go to school until it got better.
I think the band aid really makes the outfit!!!!!
On his way to 6th grade already. Where has the time gone?

Megan's first day of school

Thursday was Megan's first day of 9th grade. I don't know where the time has gone but she is getting so big and so beautiful.
She is all ready to go to the bus. Oh that's right. I had to drive her.
In the car on the way to school.
They made it through the whole day. Maggi, Megan, and Olivia.
