California 2013

We had another great summer vacation in California.  We always have a great time getting to see everyone and just hang out.
The kids all enjoyed Stefanie and Jeff's new pool.  We went in it at least once a day and sat in the hot tub most every night.
I guess the kids got a little to much swimming one day!!!!
We went out for ice cream.
This year we went down to the laguna that isn't far from the house.
We rented a paddle boat, a surf board and a tricycle thing.
The boys are ready to load the tricycle.
Megan really wanted the surf board.
Having a good time so far.
 Megan and Rena surfing.
The paddle boat was a lot of work.  It was fun to climb back and forth on but it didn't move to fast.
 Everyone like the tricycle.
All of the kids liked the surf board and everyone managed to figure out how to stand on it.
We made it to the beach a couple of times.  Jeff had a great time.
All of the kids like the waves.
Maleah and Megan were being crazy.
 What a good looking group.
 Just cute as a button.
 Break time for Cameron.
We made a girl trip to Mission Beach.  Megan and Maleah went on the roller coaster.
Rena and I did the carousel.
 Megan and Maleah.
The girls got matching henna tattoos.  You can't really see them but they say love.  They were really cute.
 We went bowling one evening.
Rena and Maleah waiting for their turn.
The boys are so cute together.
 Alex and Rena patiently waiting.
We had another great summer vacation.  You just can't get enough of these five.  They are so cute together!!!!!!
Thank you for having us Keyes family!!!!

Seattle

Mike and I spent the night in Seattle on Friday night for our early Anniversary weekend.  I got a lot of good pictures and my long monkey arms really came in handy!!!!!
I took the train to Seattle on Friday afternoon to meet Mike on his way home from work.
We checked into our hotel and took our bags up to the room.  This is the view from our room.
We went and parked the car and ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.  We got so full that we walked around Seattle until we got thirsty and stopped at McCormick and Schmicks for a drink.
Next it was off to the lounge at our hotel.  It was pretty boring and no good people watching so we moved down the street.
We found a better place two blocks away to people watch and have a few drinks.
There was a lounge on the 28th floor of our hotel so we decided to go check that out next.
Mike waiting patiently for me to get ready in the morning.
Sitting outside Starbucks on the water front people watching and waiting for Ivar's to open.  I really wanted clam chowder.
It opened and I got to eat my clam chowder!!!!!
Walking back to Pacific Place.  We had to get the new ferris wheel in a picture.
Last stop.  The bubble gum wall.  It is so gross that it cracks me up.  Everyone sticking stuff to the wall and the amount of people down there checking it out are so funny.  One lady actually got gum out of her purse and chewed it just so that she could stick it on the wall.
We had such a good time.  It is always fun to go spend the night in Seattle.

Happy 4th of July!!!!

We had a really fun 4th of July around here.  We decided this morning to go to the Tacoma waterfront to something called the freedom festival.  Who would have known this has been a 30 year tradition in Tacoma.  I had never even heard of it.
Megan made herself and Alex these very festive shirts.  She spends a lot of time on Pinterest.
We went to the Tacoma Dome and took a bus down to Ruston Way.  It was packed down there but we managed to find a kettle korn stand within the first five minutes. :)
When we got down to the Ram Mike and Alex got a cheeseburger.
Megan enjoying all of the people watching.
We found a car show that had some nice old cars.  Mike and Alex really liked them.
There was an air show going on for a good portion of the day.
Alex taking a break while we watch a pole vaulting contest.
Megan and Alex taking a breat on the curb.
 Break over,  Lets get moving.
After all of our walking Megan needed a snack.
On our way home we stopped and bought a few fireworks.  We got all 7 of these things for $40.  I just don't understand how people have these long beautiful fireworks shows.  They must be spending a fortune.  This took us about 10 minutes to blow up.
I thought that I did pretty good on our appetizers for only the three of us but both Mike and Alex made fun of me.  They ate it all but they made fun of me first!!!!!
Alex burning up his smoke bombs.
Mike loved my sparklers.  They really aren't as good as they were back in the good old days. :)
We made smore's out at the firepit while we blew up our few things and watched everyone that lives around us blow up their money.
Our neighbors had some beautiful and very loud displays.  It was hard to watch them all.
Alex with his sparklers.  He just loved those.
We had a great day.  It was packed full of fun things to do and the weather was decent with no rain.  What more could you ask for.
Happy 4th of July.  I hope it was a great day for everyone!!!!!!
