Last full day

Today is our last full day on vacation in San Diego so we decided to get in all that we could. We went to the pool, had a BBQ, and went to Old Town San Diego. Just like the rest of the week we had a great time.
We got up this morning and Rena and Maleah had dressed themselves in matching dresses. Stefanie didn't seem to happy that they had matching clothes since we always said we would never do that to our kids but she didn't buy the girls these dresses so it is ok that they match.
Gimi, Paul, Taylor, Mark, Ryan, Haley, Scott and Peggy all arrived at the house around 11:00 am. We sat and talked for awhile and then headed to the pool for swimming and a BBQ.Haley was excited to get to go swimming.
Peggy and Cameron are testing out the water.

Peggy, Stefanie, Gimi, Paul, and Steve are watching all of the kids swimming.

Taylor, Mark, Ryan, and Haley resting after swimming.
We went down to Old Town to eat dinner and check out the city.
Alex, Cameron, Megan, Haley, and Ryan.
This is everyone at dinner. Here we go around the table...... Paul, Gimi, Stefanie, Cameron, Jeff, Rena, Maleah, Megan, Ryan, Haley, Alex, Scott, Mark, Taylor, Peggy, Mike, Stacy and Steve is taking the picture. Oh, that was a lot of work. Scott, Gimi, and Paul after dinner.
Alex and Megan, excited for another picture.
We have had such a good time on vacation. As always we have gotten to enjoy so much of our family that we don't get to see alot of and we have gotten to go and do so many fun things. The only thing better would have been if Tami and Kari's families could have joined us. We will try for that next year!!!! :) We get to spend one more morning with everyone tomorrow and do a bit more swimming and then we are headed to the airport around 3:30. I am sure, as usual, Peggy will start to cry and the rest of us will follow. One of these days we will get the hang of leaving without anyone shedding a tear.

Sea World

We made it to Sea World on Thursday and had another full day of fun. We were kind of lazy in the morning so we didn't get there until about 11:00 but we still had plenty of time to see everything that we wanted.
This is the best sign that they have.
Alex, Mike, and Megan sitting in the soak zone for the dolphin show. They definately got soaked.
Alex is a bit damp and the show was only half over.
Megan and Cameron on the flying fish ride.
Maleah and Stacy on the flying fish ride. Maleah was in charge of the controls.
Stefanie and Cameron waiting for Shamu.
For a mere $177.00 you could stand in freezing cold water and feed the dolphins. This would be all of us watching the crazy people that actually paid that much. You will notice that none of us are doing it.
Cameron, Rena, Maleah, and Stefanie waiting to watch the dolphins.
We had another great day with everyone. Tomorrow we get to see the Herren's and Peggy again.
The week is quickly coming to an end and no one here to too happy about that!!!!!

A day at the pool

We spent the day at the pool at Stefanie's house. It is really nice and has a BBQ and everything. The kids enjoyed being in the water and the adults enjoyed some cold beverages while watching them.
We had to unload all of the water toys from the car so they would have something to play with in the water.
Mike was in charge of the BBQ and he did an excellent job. :)
All of the kids got out long enough to enjoy some hot dogs and potatoe chips.
Stefanie and Cameron after lunch. I think he was trying to get her to go in the water with him.
Megan and Rena are showering after they are done swimming. They are so lazy that they had to sit down.
It was another great day in San Diego. The sun was shining and we all had fun hanging out at the pool and relaxing for the whole day!!!!! Off to Sea World next......

Day two at the Happiest Place on Earth

We made it to the second day of our fun at Disneyland. We got there at about 8:30 and we were all ready to spend another full day.
We walked through the front gate and Goofy was waiting for us. The kids were excited to see him and he was nice enough to let us get a picture.
Everyone jumped on an old firetruck to make their way down main street. My Dad and I walked with the stroller and everyone else took the ride.
There they all go around the corner.
Mike, Alex and Cameron waiting for us to decide what to do next.
Stacy, Bonnie, Maleah, Megan, Rena, Kate, and Stefanie.
Bonnie and Kate.
The boys got to make their own double ended light sabers. They were both so excited. We went over for some Jedi training as soon as we got done making these.
After a few hours at Disneyland Mike, Alex, Cameron and I made the long walk over to California Adventure. Everyone else stayed behind to see the Disney Princesses. They had to wait 2 hours to see them but the girls said it was all worth it.
Cameron and Alex found Pluto.
Kate, Megan and Alex found Sulley then. They were doing a good job finding all of the characters today.
After a long day of rides and warm weather we decided to find a spot and wait for the light parade. We needed to have an ice cream break while we waited though. Everyone had smiles on their faces after that.
They waited all day to get to have ice cream.
We ended the day at the light parade and then we went to a few shops by the trolley and we headed back to the car. We got back to Stefanie's house around 1:00 am and went to bed. I think all of our feet were hurting by then and it was nice to know that we weren't getting up at the crack of dawn today. We sure did enjoy the last three days.

First day at Disneyland!!!!!

We made it to Disneyland on Monday morning. We were aiming to leave the hotel by 8:00 am and we did pretty good considering how many people we had. We left at about 8:15 and everyone was ready and had already eaten breakfast.
The one picture that I wanted to make sure to get while we were there was this one in front of the Mickey Mouse. I have a frame that I wanted to replace this same picture in from the last time we were there. We got there though and there was a marching band playing and they just kept on going so we gave up and this is the best picture we got. I was too lazy to stop and try again so this is it. :)
We are headed to the Dumbo ride so we made sure to go through the castle. The kids are already taking a break on the bench and we have only been there for 10 minutes.
Alex, Megan, Rena, Maleah, and Cameron
Steve, Bonnie, Kate, and Maleah in line for one of many rides.
Megan and Scotty after getting off of the Pirates of the Caribbean.
Alex and Mike in line.
Peggy, Stacy, Steve and Bonnie riding something.
Stefanie, Megan, Steve, and Bonnie waiting for the Pirates of the Caribbean.
Taylor and Mark were waiting back at the hotel for us. They came to pick up Peggy and Scott to go back to their house for a couple of days. They were good sports to because we didn't get back until about 12:30 in the morning and they still had about a 3 hour drive to get back up the mountain. The rest of us went to bed so that we could be back by 8:00 am again. We had so much fun!!!!!!!

Universal Studios

We made it to Universal Studios on Sunday. We left the house around 8:00 am and arrived at Universal around 10:30 or so. We spent a long day there and got to see and enjoy everything. It was the beginning of a long and fun three days.
Stefanie is taking our picture as we get ready to go into the park and Mike is taking all of ours.
Mike and Alex on the tour of the studios.
Stefanie, Maleah, Rena, and Megan all got to meet Dora. It was an exciting picture.
Scott convinced us all to go on a log ride with him. He swore we wouldn't get to wet. He was laughing when we got done and we were all soaked.
Kate, Megan, Scotty, Gimi, Peggy, Alex and Stacy
Gimi, Stacy, Peggy, Stefanie, and Mike.
We had a great day at Universal. We headed back to the hotel and got to bed a bit after midnight so that we could get up bright and early to start our first day at Disneyland.
