St. Patricks Day

Sometimes I just crack myself up with the dumb things we do around here. Yesterday was St. Patricks Day so we had to go green. We had green milk, green eggs and green butter for breakfast and then I made dinner. My folks used to make corned beef and sauerkraut every year and I always hated it so I decided that after twenty years maybe I would have acquired a taste for it so I went all out. We had corned beef, green potatoes, green french bread, green butter, and green deviled eggs. The corned beef is just as disgusting as I remember and no one else in the house liked it either so we ended up eating green cake with green frosting for our main dish with all of our green side dishes. It was a delicious dinner!!!!!!!
It's all about the green!!!!!!!
We had a really good dinner and the cake was so much better than the corned beef. We won't try to do that again!!!!!

Another choir concert

Megan had another choir concert at school. I feel like we were just at one but we got to go again.
Mike was really excited to be there. He loves to go listen to the beautiful music.
This is Alex's happy face. He really enjoys the music also.
Megan really enjoys it when we try to take her picture during the program. It is fun to watch her try to be serious. I don't think it's in her nature.
They had another good program. It was fun to go and listen to the progress that all of the choirs have made.

Congratulations Mike

Mike got a new job!!!! His Boss is retiring and they posted his job so Mike put in for it and after a couple rounds of interviews they called with the good news that he had gotten the job. As soon as they get Mike's replacement hired he will be able to start and that means his weeks of traveling to Spokane are almost over. He is really excited about the new job and being able to work out of an office instead of traveling all week. He has to start in Marysville until he gets on his own and then he can move his office to Kent which will be nice. His new official title is Fleet Manager. Yeah!!!
We made a cake and had a couple of presents waiting for him when he got home from Spokane on Friday.
Megan put streamers and balloons up all over the house.
He was really excited when he made it home. :)
He had also received a package from the Union Hall. He got his twenty year pin and a certificate.
We gave him a lovely family photo to put on his new desk and a shirt that doesn't have grease stains on it!!!!!
Alex was ready to eat the cake. It was really good.
Everyone is excited for him to get started and see how he likes it. It will be really weird to have him home during the week. I guess we will have to start eating a real dinner. I don't think he would like the chicken nuggets and french fries that the kids and I eat all week.
Congratulations Mike!!!!!!

Vegas, through Megan's eye's!!!!!

I always love to look at all of the pictures that Megan takes. She did another fine job capturing some really good ones while we were in Vegas. Here is a small preview!!!!!
I think this is the one she took out of the sunroof as we drove by. :)

This is just a few of the ones that she took but I really like them. I wish we could go back so that she could get some more!!!!!
