Megan's big day!!!!!

Megan had a big day today. She got her braces on. She was actually excited about getting them so hopefully she doesn't change her mind about that as they start to hurt.
Here is her before picture. The last moments before they put all the metal on.

They pulled her mouth wide open and started putting on the cleaner for her teeth so they would be all ready for the braces.

The braces are in that white plastic on her teeth. They paste this into her mouth and when they pull it off you have finished braces.

The finished product. Complete with a wire and two colors of pretty blue bands. Very decorative. They look so cute and so far aren't hurting. The nurse said they might hurt for a couple of days so we went and bought yogurt and jello. :) She will get the bottom braces in about 4 months since the top teeth are the ones that need the most work.

Merry Christmas

We started our Christmas Day at Jim and Marilyn's house. We opened gifts with them and had breakfast. The problem would be that we forgot to take our camera so you are just going to have to imagine how good we looked. :)
We had dinner at our house in the evening and got to spend time with the family. We don't get to see everyone all that much so it is always fun to get together for a happy event.

We had another great Christmas. We received so many great things and got to spend time with a lot of family. We are looking forward to a great New Year.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with my Dad and Bonnie. We had dinner and got to open our gifts. We had a lot of fun and got alot of great gifts.
We started the evening with dinner. It was really good!!!!!

Megan and Alex are ready to open so we had to get our last picture of them at the tree with gifts under it. We had to wait for my Dad to make his plane reservation back home though. That would be him on the left with the computer. Apparantely he is already to cold. :) I don't blame him!!!!!

Dad got a video camera for the computer from Stefanie and family. Now we can all talk to each other. It will be fun to see if he can figure out how to hook it up when he gets home. My guess is it will stay in the box until someone goes to visit him and sets it up.

Alex was so excited about all of his gifts. He really had a fun time opening everything and was so excited about all that he got.

Megan got a lot of great stuff also. She recieved some great necklaces and new clothes. I think that she really liked everything since she had most of it on by the end of the night.

Mike also got a lot of great gifts. He really enjoyed all of his also. He got this great kitchen shami from Maleah. He was really excited to get to use it.

I got so much stuff I didn't even know what all to do with it. I got this Hot Chocolate from Rena and I just love it. We drank it as soon as we were finished opening all of our gifts.

We had another really fun night and really appreciate all of the wonderful gifts that we received from everyone.

Christmas is starting

We started our Christmas fun in the early afternoon on Christmas Eve. Heidi, Jacob and Cliff came over so that the kids could exchange gifts.
Megan and Alex got some great gifts from Jacob. Megan used her fashion designer all afternoon and Alex had his Harry Potter movies playing on the tv as soon as he could.

Jacob had his open quickly also and I think that he liked them all. He was playing with them so that is always a good sign. :) We had a fun afternoon. It was a great start to a couple of long days.

Outdoor Christmas Lights

The kids helped Mike decorate the yard with some Christmas lights. I guess they were having more fun with the camera but the lights ended up turning out nice.

I don't even know what to say. Alex is always doing strange things. :) I guess the snowman attacked him.

The light up Christmas Tree turned out nice as usual. The lights even all worked on it.

Christmas Tree

We went and got our Christmas Tree this weekend. We went down to the u-cut lot that we always go to but we were to cold and couldn't find anything we liked so we went up front and bought an already cut tree. It was so nice, easy and quick.
Here is the finished product after Megan got all done decorating it. Alex wasn't a whole lot of help but he did manage to put the water in the bottom.

We had to make it look like we cut our own so the kids are standing by a tree that we didn't cut down. :)

We had to pay for our tree so we stood in a very long line and it was freezing.

The decorating has begun. The final project turned out perfect!!!!!!

Megan's new hairdo

Megan decided that she wanted to do something different with her hair so we went to Target and found a new color for her. This is what she wanted and it seems to have turned out pretty cute.

Here is the after. It's a bit darker than it was but she seems to like it so far.
