We were up at 5:30 am to make sure we had plenty of time. Alex was the first one downstairs and ready to go.
Megan made it down after she was done primping. It seems to take girls a little longer than it does boys. :)
We even had time for delicious hot home made pillsbury cinnamon rolls. Well, I guess they weren't technically homemade since all I had to do was pop open the can.
Megan is ready to head to school. She is in 10th grade at Roger's High School this year. I don't know when she grew up so much. She is starting to make me feel old!!!!!
Alex seems to have grown some over the summer. He is almost taller than Megan now.
Alex all ready to go. He is in 7th grade at Ballou Junior High. I am plum out of Elementary school age kids. I really am getting old!!!!!!
Alex getting on the bus. I don't think he was to happy about me taking this one but I didn't really give him a choice.
Megan's version of a yellow school bus. She is riding to school in the mornings with our neighbor Caitlin. I realized after they took off down the road that it was the first time Megan had driven away with one of her friends. I am not to sure how much I like that either. :)
I had to hide at the corner and zoom in my camera to get a picture of Alex getting off the bus after school. I didn't think he would be to happy with me if I was sitting at the stop sign waiting for him like a first grader so I was stealth like and hid behind a fence. Sometimes I crack myself up.
I went to Roger's to pick Megan up after school. This is her and Jake after a long day.
On our way home from the first day as a high schooler. She seems to have made it through without any problems.
I think they both had a great first day and are looking forward to another fun year. Alex really liked having different classes and he was excited about all of his lunch choices. Megan just seemed to enjoy her day and was happy to get to spend some time with her friends after school. I had a lonely day at home but did manage to accomplish alot.
I think it's going to be a good year. We will keep you posted!!!!!
