Thanksgiving weekend!!!!!

We have had a really fun Thanksgiving weekend so far. We have eaten way to much food, done a little bit of shopping, and gotten our Christmas decorations up. 

 I decided to make home made pies this year.  Normally I am all about going to Costco but I got a wild hair and made my own. I made Pumpkin and apple.  They were both really good.

I made lunch on Thanksgiving. Jim and Marilyn came over to visit just as we were going to eat so we got to have lunch with them.

 We went to the movie again this year.  It seems to be our new tradition.  I think this is the third year we have gone.  This time three other people decided to invade our theatre so we didn't get a completely private showing but it was still pretty darn close. :)

 We saw Taken 2 and it was really good.

 Megan got a hold of the camera after the movie and her and Alex went crazy with funny face pictures.  These are just a few!!!!!

 They returned some movies at Albertson's and apparently the camera went inside with them.

 We went to Tony and Suzy's house for dinner with all of their family next.  Megan was still making funny faces.

 After everyone else left we broke out the rock band.  Sherry and Daria were still there and got to be the singers while everyone else played instruments.  It was pretty funny to watch.

 Megan and I got up early for the Friday morning sales and then we headed back over to Tony and Suzy's house for the Apple cup. 

What a good game it turned out to be.  Tony is a Cougar and Suzy a Husky so it was fun to watch.
Today we have been putting up our Christmas decorations and they are looking good.  Stay tuned for more pictures.
We had a great Thanksgiving again this year and as always are thankful for so many things. 



Alex had his first band concert of the year on Thursday night.  They have really improved since last year and sounded great.  It could be that we had to listen to the beginning band first and that was pretty painful but either way they sounded a lot better than they did last year!!!!!!

They are all finished.  They sounded great and we even had a good view of Alex.  Luckily the entire concert only lasted about an hour.  The perfect length!!!!

Happy Halloween

Megan got to go to a Halloween Costume party on Saturday night.  Her and Olivia dressed up as Flapper Girls and they both looked so cute!!!!

 They made it back home at the end of the night and still looked just as cute.

 Megan and Alex are all ready to go Trick or Treating at Jim and Marilyn's house.  They didn't have very good costumes on.  When they got home Bonnie was here and had brought them Halloween cards and pizza for dinner.  Worked out perfect for me. :)

 Alex found a last minute Jedi costume and got to go trick or treating with Conner.  Thanks to Jake for the costume!!!!!

He got all of this candy while he was out.  Just what he needs!!!!!!
I stayed home to hand out candy to all of our trick or treaters.  We had our normal amount.  ZERO.  How depressing.  I bought 4 bags of candy just in case I got flooded with kids.  Jake ate one, Alex at one, and I think Megan had one.  Alex added 4 pieces that he brought home from Marilyn so I actually ended up with one more candy in my bowl at the end of the night then I had started with.  Good thing no one around here turns away candy I guess.  Sometimes I miss our old neighborhood where the kids came in car loads. 
I think everyone had a great night and luckily the rain stopped just in time for everyone to go out.
