I love the sunshine

Oh my gosh, the sunshine arrived today. It wasn't overly warm out but it wasn't raining or snowing so that was a huge step. We took full advantage of the weather and spent most of the day outside. I still had on a long sleeve shirt and two jackets but it was nice enough to be outside and use my sunglasses!!!!!!!
We started the day downtown at Alex's guitar lesson. Megan and I walked to the post office and the bank while he was in class.
We quickly discovered that it was daffodil parade day so after Alex was done we walked to McDonalds and then went and found a spot to watch the parade.
Here are all of the Daffodil Princesses. I think the girl that won was from Emerald Ridge up on South Hill. I am not positive though it is just a guess because their band was right behind the float.
Alex was sure that Cameron would love all of the John Deere Tractors. They had a ton of them all different models from different years. The old ones were pretty funny.
Megan was happy to be at the parade. She was excited to watch all of it.
Alex, on the other hand, thought that we should stay about 5 to 8 minutes. He was being a pest.
Megan was sure that Rena and Maleah would love the princess float. They were waving like crazy!!!!!!!
These were the Spring Fair Mascot's. Alex thought that my Dad should dress up in one of these outfits to work the fair next year.
There are always some nice cars. Alex loved all of these. He decided we could stay past his 8 minute limit for this one.
Alex and I even got some work done in the yard when we got home. We pulled weeds and raked branches and Mike came along behind and mowed the grass.
Megan stayed inside and took pictures of herself. She is always really good at that one. Luckily they are always so cute. :)

The daffodil parade brings back some good memories!!! The kids are right - Cameron would have loved the trucks and the girls would have loved the princesses.....and I would have loved the sunny weather. Glad that you got to catch part of the parade and get some outdoor projects done. Hopefully the warm weather will just keep on comin'!
