Relay for Life

Megan did the Relay for Life this weekend down at Spark's Stadium.  They started at noon on Saturday and finished at noon on Sunday.
This is the tent that her team set up.  They got to relax there and also had two tents to rest in when it wasn't their turn to walk.
She didn't have to walk until 9:00 p.m. so that worked out good for the weather.  It was hot during the day so she lucked out getting the night shift.
Here are some of the other tents set up for the other teams.  There were a lot of people down there.
Alex and I went back at 9:00 p.m. to walk for awhile with Megan.  Alex needed a snack before we started.
At 10:00 p.m. they had a luminary program.  They put glow sticks in remembrance bags all the way around the track.  It looked really cool when they got all done.
We are all situated and ready for the program.
The sign looked neat when it got lit up.  You could read it all the way around the track.
Megan ended up walking 20 miles plus the last lap of the relay.  She was a little bit tired when she got home at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.  I think that she had a great time though and they helped raise a lot of money for cancer research.
