We had a really fun 4th of July around here. We decided this morning to go to the Tacoma waterfront to something called the freedom festival. Who would have known this has been a 30 year tradition in Tacoma. I had never even heard of it.
Megan made herself and Alex these very festive shirts. She spends a lot of time on Pinterest. We went to the Tacoma Dome and took a bus down to Ruston Way. It was packed down there but we managed to find a kettle korn stand within the first five minutes. :)
When we got down to the Ram Mike and Alex got a cheeseburger.
Megan enjoying all of the people watching.
We found a car show that had some nice old cars. Mike and Alex really liked them.
There was an air show going on for a good portion of the day.
Alex taking a break while we watch a pole vaulting contest.
Megan and Alex taking a breat on the curb.
Break over, Lets get moving.
After all of our walking Megan needed a snack.
On our way home we stopped and bought a few fireworks. We got all 7 of these things for $40. I just don't understand how people have these long beautiful fireworks shows. They must be spending a fortune. This took us about 10 minutes to blow up.
I thought that I did pretty good on our appetizers for only the three of us but both Mike and Alex made fun of me. They ate it all but they made fun of me first!!!!!
Alex burning up his smoke bombs.
Mike loved my sparklers. They really aren't as good as they were back in the good old days. :)
We made smore's out at the firepit while we blew up our few things and watched everyone that lives around us blow up their money.
Our neighbors had some beautiful and very loud displays. It was hard to watch them all.
Alex with his sparklers. He just loved those.
We had a great day. It was packed full of fun things to do and the weather was decent with no rain. What more could you ask for.
Happy 4th of July. I hope it was a great day for everyone!!!!!!
