Friday Morning, It's a sad day!!!!!!

It is a sad sad morning for us.  It is our last few hours at our home in heaven.  We have had the best week and are so so sad to see it come to an end.  I just love the heat and the sunshine and can rarely get anyone at my house to go anywhere with a lot of it.  I didn't have to wear my coat all week and I didn't have to get mad because our air was on so cold in the house that we had to layer up.  What a concept.  Not one complaint from the kids either which made it even better.

 Our last morning at the pool.  Everyone met a little after 8:00 a.m. to have some breakfast snacks and enjoy what little swimming time we had left.

 After swimming we all went back to our rooms, got cleaned up, and met to say our goodbyes. 

We are loaded up and headed to Stefanie and Jeff's house.  The fun will continue in Carlsbad now.  We had a great time in Palm Springs and can't wait to go back.  Someday I will convince someone to move to a warm place with me.  I haven't missed a single drop of rain!!!!!!!!

Thursday

Here is a huge shock.  We started out our day on Thursday at the pool.  We sure did enjoy our pool time!!!!!!

 We stayed long enough to eat lunch out by the pool before we headed in to get cleaned up and get ready for our big night.

 We looked like we moved in an entire grocery store everyday when we had lunch and snacks.

 Thursday evening we went down to the street fair.  It was so much fun.  We were there for close to three hours and had the best time.  This is Jon, Aimie, and Kate with their snocones.

 Everyone took a break on the curb while we tried to figure out where we had lost part of the group.

We had another fun day and are sure enjoying all of the sunshine and fun people.  So far all has gone smoothly and I think everyone is having a great time.  I know we sure are!!!!!!!

Wednesday

Wednesday in the sunshine was another warm fun filled day.  We got up and spent the whole morning out at the pool again.

 After swimming we cleaned up and went downtown to check out the stores that only the rich and famous can afford.

We ended up at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Gimi, Taylor, Haley, and Scott arrived and got to meet us for dinner also.  We had a great dinner and then headed back for some night swimming.

We spent the entire day on Tuesday at the swimming pool.  I went out at 8:00 a.m. to save a good spot and we just hung out for the entire day.  It was so much fun and nice and warm.  I think it only got up to about 110 degrees that day.  It was like a little piece of heaven!!!!!

 We had lunch out by the pool.  No one wanted to leave so we just carted it all out to them.

 Maleah was in the pool most of the day. She only got out for something to drink and some snacks.

 Stefanie even got in eventually.  It felt good after sitting out in the heat all day.

 We had a surprised graduation party for Stefanie in the evening.  She just finished up her Master's in Education and didn't want to walk through the ceremony so we made her our own version.

 I took my cap and gown with us so that we could get graduation pictures.  It looks really good on Stefanie.

Everyone seemed to get nice and full and have a great time.  We headed out for our night swim after dinner.  So far so good on our trip.  Perfect weather and tons of fun!!!!!

Palm Springs

Megan, Alex and I moved on to Palm Springs on Sunday.  We left San Francisco about 8:00 a.m. and arrived in Palm Springs about 4:30 p.m.  We went back to the Oasis for the week with the whole family and had so much fun.

We are almost there!!!!!

 I am not sure why but I love these funny windmills.  I think it's because they remind me of Palm Springs and I know some good times are getting close!!!!

 We arrived and everyone met up for dinner in our room.  It was nothing exciting because we didn't arrive until late.  We had clam chowder and sourdough bread, straight from Pier 39.

 On Monday night we BBQ'd at Stefanie's condo and had a birthday party for Maleah. Megan and Jeff were in charge of  some of the food!!!!!
